So much love for this film. Fur An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus is a beautiful romantic art piece with unique characters including Diane Arbus herself who goes on this fantastical journey of self discovery and finding her on way into photography.
Then you have Downey up there for the most part is covered in fur and you can’t see anything but his eyes the whole entire time, and yet with just those he makes you fall head over heels in love with his character.
The film does seem slow at first and it takes a while to catch on what is going on in it, but if you are patient and open your mind to the wonderful things it has to offer then this film is small gem in a pile of rubble. I really recommend any lover or fan of Robert’s to give this film a try, and if you are a Nicole Kidman fan this would be right up your alley since she is basically the main character.
Now please note this film isn’t actually based around Diane Arbus’ life, it was made to commemorate her and the people she met along in life as a photographer. The story in this film is fictional, but if it inspires you to go out and do what you love the most, then the film has done it’s job.
