kanaya and her lusus always make me super emotional okay. because like so many of the characters, both human and troll, have really difficult relationships with their guardian figures that later winds up being a big deal for them. but then there’s kanaya and the mothergrub, who just seem to be really close and just get along really well.
like how kanaya spent her holiday staying in and reading with her lusus. or how the mothergrub literally gave up on a longer lifespan and accepted an early death to go against all previous tradition and raise kanaya herself, just because she liked kanaya that much. or how kanaya was aware her guardian would die early and accepted that which wow pretty intense for a kid to handle.
ugh they are just so sweet and it’s like while we see the majority of the other characters strifing with or angsting over their guardians meanwhile over here it’s like
that is so fucking cute
